The Power of Honey and Cinnamon

1-today I hear, lose up to 6 pounds in a week!!! Use Honey and cinnamon mixture. How; mix in a cup honey and cinnamon into a paste, pour in hot water, stir, cover and let stand until cool, pour through a coffee paper filter, then drink it. Do one cup in the morning and one at night.
Sounds to easy, eh?
I wonder why you can not just mix the ingredients into a hot cup of water and drink it. Why not drink honey water and take the cinnamon in a capsule? How much would someone drink if they are overweight by 10, 20 or more lbs or Kilos? What else should they do?
So I decided to check this out on the net. Findings: There was a fair number of people supporting it but others were trying it but still waiting for the weight loss then others said it worked but they gained the weight back faster after stopping the use of the drink. Others said they were tired of the taste, to soon. But I see even more trouble. There is no mention of, stop eating high calorie, fatty and salty foods, stop eating so much sugar, you have to exercise and you must drink water.

2-I just heard about Garcinia combogia (Kodumpulli) Feb 6th, 2008 it is a Native Southeast Asian fruit. Contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA) as active compound. It’s the HCA that gives Garsinia cambogia its great properties and HCA is the reason why so many weight loss products and dietary supplements. HCA acts as a modulator of lipid metabolism meaning that high doses of Garcinia Cambogia extract containing HCA can significantly suppress fat accumulation and accelerates fat break down (proved by a study). Garcinia combogia doesn’t allow rebounce of the lost weight. Just find a herbal product that actually contains Garcinia combogia (Kodumpulli) as its main ingredient along with other herbal ingredients that aid weight loss.

Hoodia extract is derived from the Hoodia gordonii plant, native to the Kalahari Desert of South Africa. Hoodia plants have been eaten as food for millennia by the aboriginal San Bushmen. Hoodia plants are succulents that look like cactus and have the texture of a cucumber but with a bitter taste. The San Bushmen would traditionally eat Hoodia when away on hunting expeditions to help ward off hunger and thirst. It wasn't until the 1960s that the indigenous foods of the Bushmen were first tested. Scientific investigation of Hoodia was conducted by the South African statutory council known as CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research). after thinking this over in my opinion. There is no magic bullet or formula, it all boils down to discipline and common sense. Sure try and or use these things, like honey/cinnamon, Kodumpulli, Hoodia or whatever. Sure give them a try why not?
But remember it is you, who will be putting the food you eat, in your mouth. Therefore, the trick, the solution is "You must know when to stop and what you are eating!!" That is Common sense!
We all know if it tastes great it probably is bad for us. "Just eat less of it!!" That is Common sense!!
Remember a man only needs 2300 calories a day and a woman 1800 a day to live!!!!
So learn about what about what you are eating, read the labels and know what you are eating on a typical day, "so if you eat something bad you will know when to stop." That is Common sense!!!
The key to eating is eat slow..savour the taste..the swallow with a sip of warm to hot liquid after.  It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain “I am full stop eating!”  But in today’s society we all move so fast, are in a rush and eat way to fast.   This means your body can not assimilate the nutrient value of food for proper digestion and most will be stored as fat.   So eating fatty foods with a cold drink is a combo for gaining weight.  The cold drink keeps the fats more sold, the fast eating (no good amount of chewing) forces the stomach to begin the digestion the mouth was supposed to do.  You are already out of balance and the food passes through the digestive track with many nutrients needed by the body being expelled and the fat being stored in the lower abdomen causing healthy people to have that pot belly.

Yes when you are at your healthy weight you can Go for it, do a bit of bad or even some days do all bad but cut back your overall consumption for that day in calorie intake.  By eating slowly the body will guide you in this.

Remember starving and not eating much, will only work on the short term. "We want long term solutions!!!" That is common sense.

Eat what you want, when you are at your right weight. But eat slowly and when possible more on the healthy side, enjoy some bad foods sometimes by staying close to your calorie daily limit, do some daily exercise (ideally 2 ten minute walks a day at a pace of 100+ steps a minute will do it for most) and drink some water.  Rule of thumb is drink plan water ½ your weight in ounces a day; is recommended.  Warning: Try not to drink too much sugar drinks because that SUGAR diverts the body’s energy and attention from digestion to; getting rid of the sugar first.  It then misses the needed nutrients from digestion.
"All it takes now is discipline" That is Common sense.

Below is the listing on the power of cinnamon and honey which I just received. How right it is, is unknown to me but it certainly has some truths.
You decide which ones you would try or believe. My question is will this work with any honey and cinnamon from anywhere in the world?

Facts on honey and cinnamon: It is found that a mixture of honey and cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. Arthritis patients may take daily, morning, and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks.
